Work that never ends...
It seems that my work is never done. Between working a full time job (well, sort of) there is the never ending things to do at home. I would love to be able to say my family "picks up after themselves", they do not! It would be nice to have our house stay "spotless" for longer than Thursday's sundown. After doing homework, cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen and washing/drying clothes while doing everything else, I would like to walk out of a clean room, walk back in and it still be clean. I do not think that is asking to much, nor do I think that it would be to hard. Saturday I cleaned out drawers and gave away a huge bag of clothes. Kevin took Justin to the Bassmaster's and Meaghan was at Megan Cole's house. There was nothing out of place all day long. Well guess what? Soon after arriving home, there was stuff everywhere! Guess whom picked it all up? You got it, me. One of these days I am going on strike. No cooking, no cleaning, no washing and even no Bonita! My family would not know how to act if that happened. I guess I should be somewhat thankful that they rely on me as much as they do. But sometimes enough is enough!!!

Brad's Soccer Game 2/22/2007
For the first time in his 18 years we finally got to see him play soccer. My heart swells with pride when I see what a great young man he has become. Although he was not able to have a relationship with us when he was little, it feels so good to be able to cheer him on now. We could never tell him how much we love him and how proud we are of him.
The following are the photos that I took. (Thank you Stacy for letting me use your Canon Rebel with that huge lense!)

Fun with Sadie
I'm Ready, I'm Ready!
I am so ready to go the the beach! Kevin and I have one trip planned for June 30th - July 7th. We come back the day before our 19th Anniversary. We are staying in the same place that we did last year and for the price I am trying to talk Kevin into letting me and Stacy take the kids down for a additional week. I'll work on him tonight and he will probably give in to me. ;) The last time that she and I did that the kids had a blast. The eight of us went down and a few days later Kevin and Tony joined us. We'll see...
The slide is a few of the pictures from our June 2006 trip. If anybody is going to the beach and looking for a place let me know and I will give you the name of the man that we rent from. It is a one bedroom (with two beds), one bath, kitchen and the living room has a sleeper sofa. The price is unbelievable!

Miss Thompson's First Grade Class
I have to say that teachers get the shaft! I have the privilege to class sit once a month for 3 hours at Pinson Elementary. Meaghan had Christy Thompson last year and I cover for her while she attends her BBSST meeting. It seems to me that teachers sometimes do not get the respect that they deserve. These kids can be a handful sometimes, however, I really enjoy being there with them. I always bring some kind of craft or something fun for us to do. They always seem so happy to see me and that makes it worth the effort.
The challenges that some classes have would seem to be overwhelming. Miss Thompson's class has three children that are learning English, 4 children with some degree of learning difficulty and a few that have enough energy for 20 kids. To an untrained person I guess it could be overwhelming, but to a professional it is part of the every day. Having said that, I must commend these teachers - give me Papa any day!!

Justin's 15th Birthday Dinner

It is hard to believe that my baby is now 15. His birthday was February 6th and he passed his drivers permit test!
We will be celebrating his birthday Friday, February 16th. Justin wants to have dinner with friends and family at home. So, I will be cooking one of his favorites for everyone - enchiladas, rice and cheese dip.
Everyone is welcome. Just let me know if you plan to come.

Thank you Tour Guide Mike
I could not express enough how much Tour Guide Mike helped me in planning our trip to WDW. I joined TGM several months before our trip and learned so much. My family laughed at me and Kevin referred to TGM as my boyfriend. At first I would print out things and carry them to bed with me to read and then I got to were I would just take my laptop with me and prop in the bed and read. Kevin and everyone else may have laughed at me, but before we left he even started asking, "What does Mike say about...".
When we arrived I was very nervous, but Mike proved true the first day. We never stood in lines for longer that 5 -10 minutes. We were able to ride sometimes 7 - 10 rides in less than 2 hours. Considering that we went December 28 - January 4th and that the crowds were the heaviest than ever, I thought we did wonderful.
I tell everyone that I know that is planning a trip to WDW, do not go without TGM. Kevin and I are planning to go again in April 2008 and I have already renewed my subscription.
Thank you Mike for all of your hard work. Our family is forever grateful.
